書評(píng): http://book.douban.com/review/4521626/ 這本書從內(nèi)容上看是一本高級(jí)教程,是寫給學(xué)過基本的場(chǎng)論,了解正則量子化、路徑積分量子化的讀者看的。雖然前言中作者把本書與Mandl做比,但可惜的是,本書在易讀性上與mandl著實(shí)有天壤之別,作為自學(xué)和初學(xué)的讀物似乎不甚合適,反而對(duì)于了解場(chǎng)論基本概念的讀者來說,這本書卻是提綱挈領(lǐng)的絕佳讀物。 作為一本全面介紹量子場(chǎng)論基本概念的導(dǎo)論,200來頁厚度是很薄的。而在輕薄的頁數(shù)背后,卻是作者充滿現(xiàn)代感的高觀點(diǎn)和對(duì)大量高級(jí)概念毫不避諱的詳細(xì)詮釋。誠(chéng)然,這樣一本書是不可能事無巨細(xì)地展開技術(shù)細(xì)節(jié)、演示計(jì)算技巧的。實(shí)際上,許多常見與其它教材主體的重要細(xì)節(jié),譬如Wick theorem、feynman rules的導(dǎo)出等,都被作者放入了習(xí)題。然而,比起其它教材來說,本書除了常見言之不詳?shù)募?xì)節(jié)這點(diǎn)令人惱火,體系比Peskin完整,物理講得比Srednicki充足,內(nèi)容不像Weinberg那么繁復(fù)堆疊,因而有著結(jié)構(gòu)更加清晰、概念更加連貫、物理詮釋更加全面的優(yōu)點(diǎn)。 這本書我現(xiàn)在只看了三章多一點(diǎn),但印象已經(jīng)非常深刻。我打算把它作為除Srednicki和Peskin之外的主要參考書來看。這本書一開始講量子化就用了weinberg書的粒子觀點(diǎn),即從波函數(shù)和二次量子化形式出發(fā),再?gòu)囊蚬匀胧忠敕戳W印M茖?dǎo)費(fèi)曼規(guī)則時(shí)先推導(dǎo)了Schwinger-Dyson方程,再用泛函方程的角度導(dǎo)出路徑積分,這些都是令人耳目一新的漂亮處理。另一方面,本書強(qiáng)調(diào)數(shù)學(xué)的嚴(yán)謹(jǐn)性,對(duì)路徑積分和重整化的處理并沒有蒙混過關(guān)。讀者清楚的指出:盡管連續(xù)空間路徑積分難以定義,但柵格化的空間中卻可以定義行為良好的路徑積分概念。而在重整化和有效場(chǎng)論的意義下,也正是后者描述了真正有價(jià)值的物理。這雖是常識(shí),但卻是很多場(chǎng)論教材極少提及的。 最后,如果說Mandl的書“素雅”,而Weinberg的書“妖冶”的話,這本書大約算是兼而有之。在場(chǎng)論蕪雜厚重的資料堆里,能有這么一本既薄得輕松活潑,又有著大量材料、讀之過癮的書,不啻為作者為我們奉上的一道饒有情趣的珍饈。 |
