PhD student fellowship Germany 已有5人參與

The International Max Planck Research School for Molecular and Cellular Biology (IMPRS-MCB) invites applications for a PhD student fellowship in the Laboratory of Dr. Gerhard Mittler (Proteomics Research Facility). Funding will be provided for the complete period of the PhD (3-4 years). The laboratory investigates global aspects of gene expression regulation at the level of proteomic characterization of DNA protein interactions. In this context we have pioneered a "reverse ChIP" method, SILAC DNA-protein interaction screening, which identifies the transcription factors that are interacting with specific cis-regulatory elements. We employ biochemical techniques and quantitative proteomics in combination with state-of-the-art biological mass spectrometry (nanoLC ESI-Orbitrap MS) to accomplish this task. The successful candidate will be a full member of the International Max Planck Research School for Molecular and Cellular Biology (http://www.imprs-mcb.mpg.de/), a PhD program jointly conducted by the institute and the Albert-Ludwigs-University of Freiburg. We are seeking highly motivated people with a strong commitment to basic research. Individuals should have a sound knowledge and experience in protein biochemistry or analytical chemistry. Working knowledge in one of the following areas would be an asset: proteomics, mass spectrometry, HPLC or bioinformatics. We provide an excellent working and interactive research environment combined with great training opportunities. The payment is commensurate with the guidelines for fellowships of the Max Planck Society. A childcare facility is directly attached to the Max Planck Institute for Immunobiology and Epigenetics.
