Once upon a time the colors of the world started to quarrel.All claimed that they were the best.The most important.The most useful.The favorite. 從前，世界上的各種顏色進行過一次爭吵。每一種顏色都說自己是最好的，最重要的，最有用的，最美麗的、最受人喜歡的。 Green said:"Clearly I am the most important. I am the sign of life and of hope. I was chosen for grass, trees and leaves. Without me, all animals would die. Look over the countryside and you will see that I am in the majority." 綠色說：顯然，我是最重要的。綠色是生命和希望的標志。草、樹、葉子都選擇了綠色。如果沒有我，所有的動物都將死亡。鳥瞰鄉(xiāng)村大地，到處都是綠色。 Blue interrupted:"You only think about the earth, but consider the sky and the sea. It is the water that is the basis of life and drawn up by the clouds from the deep sea. The sky gives space and peace and serenity. Without my peace, you would all be nothing." 藍色打斷他說：“你只考慮了陸地上的顏色，但是想想天空和海洋。水是生命之源，由云層從深海里帶來。天空顯得那么廣闊、平和、寧靜。沒有我的平和，你們什么也不是�！� Yellow chuckled:"You are all so serious. I bring laughter, gaiety, and warmth into the world. The sun is yellow, the moon is yellow, the stars are yellow. Every time you look at a sunflower, the whole world starts to smile. Without me there would be no fun." **輕聲笑道：“你們?nèi)既绱藝烂C。而我把笑聲、歡樂和溫暖帶給了世界。太陽是**的，月亮是**的，星星也是**的。每次看見向日葵，全世界都開始微笑。沒有我，世界將索然無味。” Orange started next to blow her trumpet:"I am the color of health and strength. I may be scarce, but I am precious for I serve the needs of human life. I carry the most important vitamins. Think of carrots, pumpkins, oranges, mangoes, and papayas. I don’t hang around all the time, but when I fill the sky at sunrise or sunset, my beauty is so striking that no one gives another thought to any of you." 橙色緊接著開始自吹自擂：“我是健康和力量的顏色。我可能稀少，但是很珍貴，因為我能滿足人類生命的需要。我含有最重要的維生素。想想胡蘿卜、南瓜、橙子、芒果，還有木瓜。我沒有一直閑著，當日出或日落時，天空涂滿橙色，我的美麗讓人震撼，那時沒有人會想到你們�！� Red could stand it no longer he shouted out:"I am the ruler of all of you. I am blood - life’s blood! I am the color of danger and of bravery. I am willing to fight for a cause. I bring fire into the blood. Without me, the earth would be as empty as the moon. I am the color of passion and of love, the red rose, the poinsettia and the poppy." 紅色再也控制不住了，他大聲嚷道：“我是你們所有顏色的統(tǒng)治者。我是血--生命的顏色！我是危險和勇敢的顏色。我愿意為偉大的事業(yè)而奮斗。我把滿腔熱情融進血液。如果沒有我，地球?qū)⑾裨虑蛞粯涌湛杖缫�。我�?*和愛情的顏色，是紅玫瑰、猩猩木和罌粟的顏色�！� Purple rose up to his full height:He was very tall and spoke with great pomp: "I am the color of royalty and power. Kings, chiefs, and bishops have always chosen me for I am the sign of authority and wisdom.People do not question me! They listen and obey." 紫色有高大的身軀，他伸展全身站起來，用洪亮的聲音說道：“我是王位和權(quán)力的顏色。國王、首領(lǐng)、主教總是選擇紫色，因為我是權(quán)威和智慧的象征。人們從來不質(zhì)疑我！他們只是聆聽和服從�！薄� Finally Indigo spoke, much more quietly than all the others, but with just as much determination:"Think of me. I am the color of silence. You hardly notice me, but without me you all become superficial. I represent thought and reflection, twilight and deep water. You need me for balance and contrast, for prayer and inner peace." 最后，青色說話了，他比起其他的顏色顯得安靜很多，但其語氣也非常堅定：“想想我。我是寂靜的顏色。你們幾乎注意不到我，但是如果沒有我，你們將變得膚淺。我代表思索和反省、黃昏和深水。你們需要我作為反襯來取得平衡，需要把我作為祈禱文來求得內(nèi)心的安寧�！� And so the colors went on boasting, each convinced of his or her own superiority. Their quarreling became louder and louder. 顏色們繼續(xù)自夸，每種顏色都確信自己的優(yōu)越。他們的爭吵聲越來越大。 Suddenly there was a startling flash of bright lightening thunder rolled and boomed. Rain started to pour down relentlessly. 突然電閃雷鳴，大雨無情傾瀉。因為恐懼，顏色們蹲下身子，互相靠攏以求安慰。 The colors crouched down in fear, drawing close to one another for comfort. In the midst of the clamor, rain began to speak:"You foolish colors, fighting amongst yourselves, each trying to dominate the rest. Don’t you know that you were each made for a special purpose, unique and different? Join hands with one another and come to me." 在吵鬧中，雨開始說話了：“你們這些愚蠢的顏色，相互爭斗，試圖支配其他的顏色。難道你們不知道每種顏色的形成都有著特殊的目的，每種顏色都是獨特而與眾不同的嗎？手拉手，到我這兒來！” Doing as they were told, the colors united and joined hands. 按照雨說的，顏色們手拉手，團結(jié)起來。 The rain continued:"From now on, when it rains, each of you will stretch across the sky in a great bow of color as a reminder that you can all live in peace. The Rainbow is a sign of hope for tomorrow." And so, whenever a good rain washes the world, and a Rainbow appears in the sky, let us remember to appreciate one another. 雨繼續(xù)說：“今后，當下雨時，你們所有的顏色將橫跨填空，形成一道巨大的彩虹，以提示你們七種顏色能友好共處。記住，彩虹象征著明天的希望�！币虼耍慨敽糜晗炊Y世界的時候，一道彩虹都會出現(xiàn)在天空，讓我們記得要學會彼此欣賞 [ 來自科研家族 夢里的棉花糖 ] |
