謝謝各位朋友的回復(fù),今早來看,被拒稿了。意見如下: Reviewers' comments: The work is based on Brennan's and his collegues work, but in order to get QZS, you did not use two oblique springs. The authors derived the stiffness-displacement characteristics and discussed it. As pointed out by the reviewer, the presentation can be more concise and the manuscript could be very much shortened. As a result, it may not contain sufficient materials for a full paper. Therefore, your manuscript is rejected but you are encouraged to further develop your work which could be an interesting contribution. Reviewer #1: This paper presents an ingenious device for implementing very low dynamic stiffness via a nonlinear mechanism. However, the authors seem to me to give an unnecessarily complicated account of how it works. The attached file gives an energy-based description which more or less says everything that is needed, perhaps. The mathematics in the paper could be shortened drastically along these lines. The result could be a short communication which would be worthy of publication in JSV. The presentation also needs some tidying up in terms of English language usage, and conforming to the usual styles: for example, references in the text all give the full list of authors' names and initials in a format that is different every time. They should be reduced to standard form. Figures 1 b,c are a bit scruffy: the springs appear to have been sketched roughly by hand rather than drawn neatly. Given a simpler form of the analytic expression for the results, I think the number of figures could be reduced quite a lot. |
