看帖回帖 為申請(qǐng)賺人品 Analysis of Organic Aerosols from Laboratory and Field Samples using Ultra-High Resolution Mass Spectrometry The composition of organic aerosols is poorly understood, mainly because of the highly complex compounds mixtures present in atmospheric aerosols. Ultra-high resolution mass spectrometry techniques open the possibility to characterize these complex mixtures on a molecular level, giving unprecedented insights into particle sources and atmospheric formation and aging processes. In this project aerosol samples from atmospheric simulation chambers and ambient samples from a variety of locations will be analyzed to compare and identify secondary organic aerosol formation processes in laboratory experiments and the ambient atmosphere. A variety of ionisation techniques are available for the mass spectrometry analyses coupling online the new smog chamber at the University of Cambridge with an ultra-high resolution mass spectrometer. A main emphasis of this project will be development and application of statistical analyses to compare laboratory and field data. Applicants should have (or be about to receive) a PhD in a relevant field and be highly motivated with a strong interest and experience in mass spectrometry, atmospheric simulation chamber experiments and/or statistical methods. Salary: £27,578-£35,938 per annum Application deadline: 15 August 2012 This is a fixed term contract for a period of 2 years with the possibility for extension.
