6. There are comprehensive and simple instructions and guidelines available and used by operators to identify and rectify recognized process and equipment issues. The early equipment management program includes documentation of simple troubleshooting and corrective techniques. This documentation should be in a visual format and held close to the equipment to which it refers. It should be used as both a quick reference for existing staff and as training material for new staff 9. The Operator Asset Care program delivers measurable improvements in equipment reliability and operating performance and these are routinely reported. OAC should drive measurable improvements in the condition, reliability and performance of the individual pieces of equipment. Typical measures used to quantify these types of improvements are: MTBF, MTTR, Rate of Failure and measurement/tracking of the major OEE loss factors Expected results, baselines and targets for OAC should have been established at the beginning of the program. |
