luminescence譯為發(fā)光，在物理上發(fā)光分為很多種，如電致發(fā)光electroluminescence（EL），光致發(fā)光photoluminenscence(PL),陰極射線發(fā)光cathodeluminenscence（CL） 等。 其中PL、CL又廣泛運(yùn)用于固體物理測試中，是一種材料測試的方法，半導(dǎo)體領(lǐng)域常用該方法考擦材料所含的雜質(zhì)、缺陷等。 以下是來自wikipedia 對PL的簡要解釋： Photoluminescence (abbreviated as PL) is a process in which a substance absorbs photons (electromagnetic radiation) and then re-radiates photons. Quantum mechanically, this can be described as an excitation to a higher energy state and then a return to a lower energy state accompanied by the emission of a photon. This is one of many forms of luminescence (light emission) and is distinguished by photoexcitation (excitation by photons), hence the prefix photo-.[1] The period between absorption and emission is typically extremely short, in the order of 10 nanoseconds.
