However, further improvement of service quality and large deployment of mobile pervasive services are hampered by resource constraints of mobile devices and bandwidth limitations of wireless networks. Recently, mobile cloud computing is emerging rapidly as an exciting new paradigm to extend the capabilities of mobile devices and platforms, which, in turn, are changing the industrial production and people's daily life. Developments of innovative pervasive mobile services, e.g., mobile video streaming, rich media dissemination, surveillance, e-gaming, e-health care, etc., can be greatly facilitated by mobile cloud computing platforms employing emerged and emerging technologies. This workshop seeks original, previously unpublished papers proposing technical contributions and solutions that promote recent advances in cloud-assisted mobile computing and pervasive services. Networking paradigms to be covered in this workshop include: - Pervasive e-health, home monitoring, cloud-assisted living servicesFlexible Body Area Network (BAN) architecture for supporting distributed cloud computing - Content and information collection and aggregation in pervasive services by clouds - Efficient information dissemination in mobile service with cloud computing - Mobile content-centric services integrated with Named Data Networks (NDN) - Improvement on mobile content -centric networks (CCN and ICN) by clouds - Cloud-based mobile audio/video streaming techniques for BANs - Scalable live broadcasting for mobile users supported by cloud computing - Real-time interactive multimedia service for mobile cloud users - Quality of Experience (QoE) studies and improvements for mobile cloud computing - Dynamic allocation algorithms for smart devices connected to mobile cloud services - New applications for cloud-supported mobile online gaming and other entertainments. - New convergence services supported by mobile cloud computing techniques - Social body area networks combined with mobile cloud computing - Mobile cognitive radio networks combined with cloud computing - Security in cloud-assisted mobile computing and pervasive services - New applications for cloud-supported mobile online gaming and other entertainments. - Scalable live broadcasting for mobile users supported by cloud computing - New convergence services supported by mobile cloud computing techniques (e.g., monitoring, transportation, smart grid, healthcare, etc.) - Social networking services and mobile cloud computing - Security and privacy issues in mobile cloud computing - Cloud-based support of device and user mobility - Cloud-based multi-technology access management - Cloud-based radio resource management in wireless networks - Cloud-based radio link optimization techniques Submission Guidelines: Prospective authors are invited to submit original technical papers—up to 6 pages of length, using the EDAS link https://edas.info/newPaper.php?c=13371 for possible publication in the IWCMC 2012 Conference Proceedings, which will be included in IEEE Xplorer. Selected papers will be further considered for possible publication in three special issues in the following Journals: 1.
