The Hague 1 A Place for All at The Climate Science Table 氣候科學論壇：百家爭鳴的地方 The Dutch government has created an online forum where “climate experts representing the full range of views” can discuss the hottest topics in climate change. The public can provide running commentary. The site, launched this week at Climate- Dialogue.org, began by tackling Arctic sea ice. 荷蘭政府創(chuàng)建了一個網(wǎng)上論壇，以便讓持不同觀點的氣候科學家能討論一些氣候變化領(lǐng)域里的熱門話題。同時，公眾也能提供追蹤報道。網(wǎng)站上周正式投入使用，域名為Climate-Dialogue.org，第一個論題是處理北冰洋海冰的問題。 Three respected American climate scientists will debate the causes of sea-ice decline—global warming and natural variability lead the list—and when the Arctic Ocean could be ice-free. The scientists’ estimates “range from 2016 to the end of the 21st century, or even later,” a Climate Dialogue statement said. The spread of opinion is deliberately broad. 三位德高望重的美國科學家將會討論兩個話題：海冰消退的原因（全球變暖和自然變化是最重要的兩個原因）和北冰洋的冰什么時候可能會完全融化。氣候論壇的一份聲明中說，科學家的預測是在2016年到21世紀末，或者再晚一些。 ClimateDialogue.org is one of several government projects the Dutch parliament has requested to “involve climate skeptics in future studies on climate change,” another statement explained.
