請大家?guī)兔聪挛椰F(xiàn)在應(yīng)該怎么辦.......

我是明年6月畢業(yè)，一個(gè)月前面了比利時(shí)魯汶的一個(gè)PhD。但這個(gè)vacancy是明年1月開始的。 今天教授發(fā)了拒信，但提出可能9月會有position。 Dear XXX, I’m contacting you regarding the PhD position in Leuven. I’m sorry to say that for the moment, I will not be able to hire you. There was another candidate, equally qualified as you but whose timing in terms of finishing her studies fitted better this vacancy. It was a very difficult decision for me as your background and expertise would be of great value for the research direction that I would like take. At the same time, I do hope that there will be another vacancy at the end of the academic year which would allow me to hire another PhD Student in September or October 2013. I certainly hope that you then would still be interested in joining our research group. I cannot however be sure – it depends on funding possibilities and these have become very difficult to predict. As soon as I know more though, I will let you know. I sincerely hope that we have a chance to work together in the near future. I feel rather confident that we will but as said before, there is no 100% guarantee. I hope we can stay in touch throughout the year and I will contact you as soon as I see a possibility. If you would like to contact me, either to explore alternatives or talk content-wise, please do so. My best regards 看起來如果我提出CSC的事情的話她應(yīng)該會樂意收下我。但一方面CSC錢少（呃，實(shí)話實(shí)說），另一方面感覺CSC還是多少受點(diǎn)歧視吧（在魯汶是沒有免費(fèi)自行車啊什么的，到不是大事）。因?yàn)槲蚁壬隰斻胱xPhD，所以我應(yīng)該暫時(shí)不考慮其他學(xué)校的position。 不知道這種情況下，我應(yīng)該對這個(gè)position抱多大希望呢？外導(dǎo)一般提前多久能知道自己有沒有funding呢？ 因?yàn)?月份就要申請CSC了....... 很糾結(jié)......求建議，拍醒我說沒戲了也好....Sample Text |
