The fund, which has spent $23 billion since 2002 to finance treatment and prevention of these three diseases in resource-limited countries, announced on 15 November that Mark Dybul would take the helm. And finally, the board decided to fold the Affordable Medicines Facility-malaria (AMFm)—a controversial program that aims to improve access to more effective malarial medicines by enlisting the private market— into the fund’s regular activities.
