看了一些帖子之后,發(fā)現(xiàn)選導(dǎo)師真是個(gè)大學(xué)問,我現(xiàn)在已經(jīng)拿到offer,不知道這個(gè)導(dǎo)師怎么樣,我也沒有在奧克蘭大學(xué)工程學(xué)院認(rèn)識(shí)的人,只能從學(xué)校的頁(yè)面上看了。其實(shí)我最擔(dān)心的是這個(gè)導(dǎo)師相對(duì)還年輕,會(huì)不會(huì)對(duì)手下逼地很緊,其次他的專業(yè)機(jī)構(gòu)成員身份這么多,會(huì)不會(huì)是急于出成果的那種導(dǎo)師,這樣的話在他手下干活會(huì)不會(huì)很累。他的信息如下: John Cater Senior Lecturer Biography John completed a BE in Mechanical Engineering at The University of Auckland and a PhD at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. He later travelled and spent six years in Ireland and the UK, working as a research fellow at Trinity College Dublin & Trinity College Cambridge before becoming a permanent academic at Queen Mary, University of London in the East End of London. In 2008 John returned to The University of Auckland and joined the Department of Engineering Science as a Senior Lecturer in Fluid Dynamics, specialising mainly in modelling turbulent flows and their control. He currently researches a variety of aero-acoustical and flow problems using computational models, such as large eddy simulation, and experimental laser measurement techniques such as particle image velocimetry. Currently supported research projects include topics in wind power generation, respiratory support devices, vocal tract flows, numerical methods for wave propagation problems and modelling for injection moulding. Qualifications PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Monash University, Australia BE (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering, The University of Auckland Research interests Aero-acoustical modelling and measurements, particularly of turbulent jets including linear and non-linear signal processing of acoustic signals. Development and use of Laser Doppler Velocimetry (LDV or LDA), hot-wire anemometry and pressure measurement techniques in turbulent internal and external flows and development of optical measurement techniques including Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) and Planar Laser-Induced Fluorescence (PLIF). Direct Numerical Simulation (DNS) and Large Eddy Simulation (LES) of swirling flows, jets and wind turbines using cluster-based parallel computation. Synthetic jets and flow control. 你要是擔(dān)心這些 那就大可不必了,新西蘭的導(dǎo)師 特別是工科的,基本上都是非常nice的 如果是比較年輕那肯定是很厲害的 不過這邊牛導(dǎo)的定義和國(guó)內(nèi)是不一樣的 特別是工科 他們的應(yīng)用性很強(qiáng) 不一定會(huì)有很多文章 但是項(xiàng)目會(huì)比較多 這是與國(guó)內(nèi)最大的差別 所以他們不會(huì)特別逼你寫文章 因?yàn)樗麄兏匾晫?shí)際的應(yīng)用! [ 發(fā)自手機(jī)版 http://www.gaoyang168.com/3g ] |
