| We also measured photocatalytic H2 production using black TiO2 as the photocatalyst with only visible and infrared light by filtering out incident light with wavelengths shorter than about 400 nm. The rate of H2 production dropped to 0.1 mmol +/- 0.02 per hour per gram of photocatalysts, reflecting the activity of the extended tail or mid-gap states of the thin disordered layer that have a narrower band gap created by disordering. |

Mater. 2008, 20, 35-54 Current record holders in therms of quantum efficiencies (QEs) are NiO-modified La/KTaO3 (QE = 56%, pure water, UV light), ZnS (QE = 90%, aqueous Na2S/Na2SO3, light with λ> 300 nm), and Cr/Rh-modified GaN/ZnO (QE = 2.5%, pure water, visible light). 用QE做參考,比較起來才(目前公認 Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. 2010, 49, 1536-1539)有意義。所以,你所謂的“產氫”數(shù)量是一個不具有實際意義的數(shù)值。歸一化很重要。就好比你單單討論“TON”的多少,遠不如“TOF”來得有可比較性。 |

Agreed with "doctorzyjunior" said. FYI, please check some references from Dr. Kudo's group, Dr. Domen's group and Dr. H. Teng's group (from National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan). I did some water splitting exp. using optimized Kudo's catalyst (NiO-NaTaO3:La). The max H2 evolution rate I observed is ~10mmol/hr.gcat (pure water, low pressure UV lamp 90% ouput at 254 nm). |
