訪問學(xué)者拋磚引玉閑諞系列（十五、實驗室內(nèi)的gossip letter） 已有5人參與

|
國際實驗室內(nèi)相處門道甚多，今不贅述，分享一封真實的信件，我實驗室某老博士***自居senior，對newcomers頤指氣使。另外一個年輕博士，和我同時進(jìn)實驗室，來自孟加拉國，小伙子不錯，對人都很友好，我們私下是朋友，這個年輕的博士總是受老博士欺負(fù)，這個老博士對我也不怎么友好，是伊朗的貨。一般的規(guī)則還是不要講閑話，不要成伙的好，但是這個年輕的博士最近可憐地都抑郁了，今天他終于忍不住給我吐了一天的苦水，他抗?fàn)庍^，斗不過這個老家伙。我們有兩個office，我和兩個女孩一個office，另外四個男生一個office，今日這個年輕的博士告訴我說和那個伊朗的貨在一個office真是torture，我看這哥們可憐，他幫我了很多忙，我打算晚上寫封信安慰一下他，表示一下我們中國人的友善，同時給他建議讓他圓滑一點，大局為重，不要計較。 Dear friend: I am wise to that it is kind of torture to be with ***. We are here for our knowledge and diploma, not for ***. we are in the same boat, and we are on the same wavelength. When I was young, I tended to wear my heart on my sleeve, sometimes this trait in our character is not conducive for us to handle a complex environment, worst of all where the situation is agaist us. As the proverb goes, better bend than break,one more Chinese saying: Revenge is a dish best served cold. In view of the present context in our group,the best way for the moment is to be tolerant, it is not becase we are cowardly.It is below us to argue about with him. As you know, discretion is the better part of valor. What we need to do is focus on my experiment, improve the occasion if some opportunities come. Don't take whatever he says and does to your heart, he is still young, and time will teach him a lot. Every tide has its ebb, every dog has its day! Tenacity is no more dispensable for a great man than might is. Cheer up! my friend. I write this encouragement for both you and me.
