They must be moist, or he will get a mess. It takes about an hour to add the crystals to the sulfuric acid. Once they are added, the flask is heated in a pan of boiling water and swirled around to dissolve the crystals. It is cooled down slowly to 0° C by first letting it cool down, then packing it in ice. chemist puts 1700 ml of water in a 3000 ml flask. Half of the sulfuric acid solution is added to it. It is heated in a pan of boiling water for a couple of hours. It is given a couple of good shakes every 15 minute |
