Additional Questions: Significance: Yes, the scheme illustrated does not require sophiscated set up and can be a robust production method. Scientific Validity: The discussion seems clear and straightforward based on basic physics. Scientific Contribution: In this referee's opinion, in current form this manuscript needs the results of more studies included. Even so, it does have the merit of showing a new way of making blazed gratings, and other researcher may be interested to investigate and make improvement based on these initial findings. Overall Presentation: The writing is clear and acceptable. Reviewer: 2 Recommendation: Accept Comments: No Additional Questions: Significance: Yes, a novel method to fabricate echelle grating through multiple beam interference is proposed and experimentally validated in this paper. Such grating is usually fabricated through mechanical rulling method. Scientific Validity: Yes, the science is sound and well reasoned. Scientific Contribution: This paper provide a new way of making echelle grating through multi-beam interence method, which is more efficient and energy saving, this technique can be further developed to make perfect echelle gratings, it will attract the attention of researchers and companies that involve in grating fabrication. Overall Presentation: Yes, it is written in a clear and succint academic style, further polish of this paper by a linguist will make it better. The title is descriptive. The abstract clearly summarize the manuscript. The introduction provide a good rationale justifying the aim and significance of the research.
