Thomson Reuters today announced their 2012 journals impact factors, and, as ever, our journals have enjoyed excellent growth over the past year. Advanced Energy Materials received its first Impact Factor, leaping to 10.043 from a standing start and demonstrating the popularity of the Advanced journal family with the scientific community. Advanced Materials has a new Impact Factor of 14.829. One key to the success of Advanced Materials is its pronounced interdisciplinarity, manifested in its rare listing in six different topic categories by ISI. Advanced Functional Materials reinforces its standing as a leading full-paper general materials science journal with its 2012 IF of 9.765. With an Impact Factor of 7.823, Small continues to be the premier journal for research at the nano- and microscale. Advanced Healthcare Materials, launched in 2012, received its first Immediacy Factor of 0.712. This inaugural value, truly competitive in the Materials Science – Biomaterials category, establishes Advanced Healthcare Materials as a premier journal for publishing biomedical materials research. Advanced Optical Materials was founded in 2013 and is the latest publication from the Advanced Materials stable. The journal is already covered in the ISI databases (from issue 1) and its first impact factor will be in 2014. Plasma Processes and Polymers underlined its status as the leading journal in the field of plasma science and applications with its new Impact Factor of 3.73. The 2012 Impact Factor of pss (Rapid Research Letters), our flagship letter journal in solid state physics, saw an increase of 7.57% to 2.388. The Journal of Polymer Science: Polymer Physics showed a huge increase in impact factor of 45%, to 2.221. The journal offers one of the fastest peer review and publication processes in polymer science. Laser Photonics Reviews publishes original research and review papers and its new Impact Factor is 7.976. Annalen der Physik is one of the most famous physics journals in history and its Impact Factor has grown by almost 80%. Macromolecular Rapid Communications is the highest impact factor communications journal in polymer science with a 2012 value of 4.929. Macromolecular Materials and Engineering has a new all-time high Impact Factor of 2.338. |
