what do you know about X-rays,we all know that they are used to take pictures of your bones, or see the contents of ??? but have you ever imagined the very powerful source of X-ray could also help solve industrial problems and perhaps speed up your innovation process.but yesthey can and……,a wide range of techniques is open to industry with the ERSF, DoctorGema Martinez-Criado, beamline responsible, will give us insights into X-ray Fluorescence Spectroscopy. X-ray Fluorescence analysis is a technique commonly used in ERSF for chemical compositions analysis,…… So most of the cases, we are applied the technique to mummies, to flyethches, to anything your tiny sample. like, some particles in , for microelectronics or , for elements that they are very low quantity. X-ray Fluorescence applications can be divided in five groups. Art&archeology like mummies,earth & environmental science for …… and the contaminations, materials science like micro, biomedical applicaitons,analyse cells and neurons, and finally geology in ocean science, the principle behind the technique is basicall the X-ray absortions, so we collect the light ,and we analyse by energy. Like this,we are able to determine how elements, which element are in the sample. The micro X-ray Fluorescence is basically consisted of three elements, the source, the ……, and the sample.Basically,we scan the sample in the bin, and we collect …… .From that spectrum,we are able to .like this, you are able to in 2D,If necessary we can collect X-ray difraction data.Like that we have not only the compositions, but to allow us to analyse at the same time.So in the end what we get is both the compositions and X-ray Fluorescen analysis compared to electronic In general, we have a large dynamic , we go from bbv to 100%, Sample size can be sorted according to the users' need, from cm, to mm to nanometer scope. We have two sations, one with micrometer beamsize and second with nanometer beamsize. so in principle,up to facing nanometers,samples can be accomodated and with the X-ray beam. In general, we can analyse samples in different environment, different temperture and pressure. semiconductor industry needs to incorporate devices into a single chip. That is why they need something useful applications, with higher speeda and lower price to crporate modulator onto a very single chip. To check whether this formation of chip is OK or NOT, we have been working on X-ray Fluorescencea analysis of the……, elements allover the waves. while X-ray Fluorescence maps allow us to …… while X-ray diffractions And the formation of both modu X-ray Fluorescencea can help us analyse chemical composition of a few sample with high solution to nanometer scales ……………………………… |
