最近和朋友在Hindawi Publishing Corporation旗下的Journal of Nanomaterials（SCI收錄，影響因子：1.547）組織一期專題:Metal Oxide Heterostructures for Water Purification .歡迎大家踴躍投稿。投稿截至?xí)r間:2014年1月24日。投稿網(wǎng)址: http://mts.hindawi.com/submit/journals/jnm/meox/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Metal Oxide Heterostructures for Water Purification Call for Papers In recent years, owing to most textile and printing industries heavily relying on dyes and pigments, consequently, this phenomenon leads to the production of plentiful wastewater. The toxic and colored wastewater containing dyes seriously affect the quality of water, inhibit sunlight penetration, and reduce the photosynthetic reaction. The previous techniques dealing with dye waste effluents are usually inefficient and costly. At present, semiconductor oxide heterostructured photocatalysts have been regarded as very efficient and inexpensive catalysts to remove the dye pollutants from water due to their large specific surface areas and unique spatial architectures. The hybrid semiconductor systems can promote the separation of electron-hole pairs and keep reduction and oxidation reactions at two different reaction sites, which improves tremendously the photocatalytic efficiency of the semiconductor nanostructures. This special issue covers all topics related to metal oxide heterostructured nanomaterials towards the treatment, purification, and remediation of surface water, groundwater, and industrial wastewater streams. We invite submission of review and original research articles covering the following topics. Potential topics include, but are not limited to: · Metal oxide heterostructured sensors for the monitoring of the highly toxic species, such as radioactive ions, heavy metal ions, organic contaminants, bacteria, and viruses · Metal oxide heterostructured adsorbents for the removal of contaminants in wastewater, particularly the highly toxic organic contaminants, heavy metal ions, and radioactive ions · Metal oxide heterostructured photocatalysts, driven by UV light or visible light, for the degradation of organic contaminants · Metal oxide heterostructured inorganic membranes for wastewater treatment Before submission authors should carefully read over the journal’s Author Guidelines, which are located at http://www.hindawi.com/journals/jnm/guidelines/.
