看看編輯給我回的信，我這文章還有戲唱嗎？

未審就拒了，悲催。我個(gè)人對(duì)我的文章還是比較滿意的。 編輯的話算是客套話嗎？ I am returning your manuscript for revision before sending it out for peer review. It is my judgment that this manuscript does not have a strong appeal to the broad readership of the **** and that it is therefore unlikely to be accepted for publication here in its present form. I do not doubt that your paper has the potential to be a strong contribution, and I do encourage you to resubmit it, but I have taken the decision to reject the paper specifically because from the beginning it needs to clearly address the broader significance of the study. It is quite possible that a kernel of what needs to be done is in the Introduction already，but as currently presented, it would seem the manuscript is only about one time slice of the basin. Therefore I hope you will rewrite the Introduction, and if necessary other parts of the paper, so that the broad readership of *** will be interested in your work. Please note that if you wish to resubmit an improved version to the Bulletin, it shall be re-reviewed as a new manuscript. A revised manuscript would need to be substantially modified to address the concerns about why this paper should be published in the Bulletin, including clearer treatment of scientific context and broad significance. |
