2013年10月，經(jīng)SAE International（國(guó)際汽車(chē)工程師學(xué)會(huì)）理事會(huì)和Fellow委員會(huì)評(píng)選，上海交大密西根學(xué)院機(jī)械工程副教授、博士生導(dǎo)師孔令遜當(dāng)選SAE Fellow會(huì)士，成為2013年入選的22位會(huì)士中唯一 一位來(lái)自中國(guó)高校或機(jī)構(gòu)的成員。 SAE成立于1905年，是國(guó)際上最大的致力于發(fā)展移動(dòng)技術(shù)以更好服務(wù)人類(lèi)的汽車(chē)工程學(xué)術(shù)組織，目前在全球范圍內(nèi)擁有超過(guò)138,000名會(huì)員，均為航空航天、汽車(chē)和商用車(chē)輛行業(yè)的工程師和相關(guān)技術(shù)專(zhuān)家。SAE Fellow是國(guó)際汽車(chē)工程師學(xué)會(huì)最高級(jí)別的會(huì)員稱(chēng)號(hào)，用于表彰在工程開(kāi)發(fā)、科學(xué)研究和業(yè)界領(lǐng)導(dǎo)方面取得巨大成就，并推動(dòng)汽車(chē)、飛機(jī)、商用車(chē)等相關(guān)技術(shù)發(fā)展的杰出會(huì)員。該項(xiàng)榮譽(yù)稱(chēng)號(hào)的授予始于1975年，SAE每年通過(guò)執(zhí)行嚴(yán)格的程序和推薦制度，從全球范圍內(nèi)選拔出20名左右對(duì)汽車(chē)行業(yè)有特殊貢獻(xiàn)的候選者授予SAE Fellow稱(chēng)號(hào)，至今共有736人成功當(dāng)選。 基于孔令遜副教授在運(yùn)用新型光學(xué)分析技術(shù)進(jìn)行燃油噴射的測(cè)量與診斷領(lǐng)域所取得的突出貢獻(xiàn)，以及他在開(kāi)發(fā)與制定國(guó)際汽車(chē)工程師學(xué)會(huì)第一個(gè)汽油噴射測(cè)量國(guó)際標(biāo)準(zhǔn)規(guī)范(SAE J2175)方面所做出的領(lǐng)先成就，SAE Fellow委員會(huì)決定授予孔令遜副教授該榮譽(yù)稱(chēng)號(hào)。2014年4月在美國(guó)底特律舉行的SAE年會(huì)期間，孔令遜副教授將特別受邀與其他新當(dāng)選的Fellow一起參加SAE Fellow歡迎晚宴和頒獎(jiǎng)典禮。 孔令遜副教授1999年加入SAE，現(xiàn)擔(dān)任SAE汽油噴射標(biāo)準(zhǔn)委員會(huì)副主席。此前他還獲得過(guò)SAE授予的包括“Henry Souther Standards Award”和“SAE/InterRegs Standards and Regulations Award for Young Engineers”在內(nèi)的另外四個(gè)國(guó)際獎(jiǎng)項(xiàng)，以表彰其為全球汽車(chē)行業(yè)研究制定國(guó)際工程標(biāo)準(zhǔn)和規(guī)范所做的貢獻(xiàn)。 The UM-SJTU Joint Institute’s Associate Professor David Hung was elected as a SAE International (Society of Automotive Engineers) Fellow by the SAE Fellows Committee in Oct 2013. Among the twenty-two newly elected SAE Fellows in 2013, Professor Hung was the only one selected from any university or institution in China. SAE Fellow is the highest grade of membership bestowed by SAE International, a global association that serves more than 138,000 engineers and related technical experts in the aerospace, automotive and commercial vehicle industries. It recognizes outstanding engineering, scientific and leadership accomplishments by an individual that have resulted in meaningful advances in automotive, aerospace, and commercial vehicle technologies. The program, established in 1975, recognizes an average of 20 recipients worldwide for this honor each year. A total of 736 members have been elected as SAE Fellows since the inception of the program. The SAE Fellows Committee selected Professor Hung based on his outstanding contributions to the measurement and characterization of fuel injector spray using novel optical & analysis techniques, and for leading the development and publication of SAE J2175, the first international standardization practice of gasoline injector spray measurement. He will be honored with other new SAE Fellows at the Fellow Reception and SAE Awards Ceremony to be held during the SAE World Congress in Detroit in April 2014. A member of SAE International since 1999, Professor Hung is currently serving as a vice-chairman of SAE Gasoline Fuel Injection Standards Committee. He has received four other SAE awards, including Henry Souther Standards Award and SAE/InterRegs Standards and Regulations Award for Young Engineers, for his contributions to develop international engineering standards and regulations for the global automotive industry.
