| Over the last years, the concept of using the immune system to fight tumors has been reported . Immunization with DLL4-encoding plasmid DNA by in vivoelectroporation retarded the growth of orthotopically implanted mammary carcinomas in mice. Probably the main mechanism involved in this process was connected with targeting endothelial tip cells and DLL4 ligand. Importantly, no evidence for delayed wound healing responses or for toxicity associated with pharmacological DLL4 blocking was reported in mice immunized with the DLL4 vaccine. Induction of immunity toward mediators of pathological angiogenesis such as DLL4 will be asignificant step in clinical oncology because it could provide protection against recurrent malignancies in the adjuvant setting. |

| 在過去的幾年來中，以免疫系統(tǒng)來對(duì)抗腫瘤，這種概念已見報(bào)道。伴DLL4-編碼質(zhì)粒DNA的免疫方法，以體內(nèi)電穿孔法方式，延遲了小鼠原位植入乳腺腫瘤的生長。參與了這一過程的主要機(jī)制可能與靶向內(nèi)皮根尖細(xì)胞和DLL4配體有關(guān)。更重要的是，用DLL4疫苗免疫的小鼠，沒有傷口愈合延遲或與藥物阻斷DLL4相關(guān)的毒性據(jù)報(bào)道。誘導(dǎo)免疫介導(dǎo)如DLL4的病理性血管生成，將是臨床腫瘤學(xué)很大的一大步，因?yàn)檫@一措施可以用于輔助治療，提供保護(hù)，防止惡性腫瘤復(fù)發(fā)。 |
