Position of Researcher, Materials in General Motors China Science Lab
|
General Motors R&D China Science Lab is recruiting a researcher, materials in its advanced materials lab, located in Shanghai, China. The position is intended to work on galvanic corrosion between dissimilar materials and corrosion of various steels. The job description is attached. More info can refer to following website: http://www.gmchina.com/gm/front/recruit/list Applicants are invited for positions as “Researcher, Corrosion” in the Advanced Materials Lab, GM China Science Lab. Individuals are sought with demonstrated potential and creativity in the areas of physical metallurgy and electrochemistry technology. Individuals will participate in the development of innovative materials and coatings for automotive applications. Responsibilities • Generate and execute innovate research projects in the above areas • Produce high-quality internal and external reports • Develop high-quality, productive collaborations with government, university and corporate colleagues Requirements • Demonstrated expertise in electrochemical corrosion of metals and relevant experimental methods • Thorough knowledge of electrochemistry and corrosion of materials • Extensive experience with advanced electrochemical methods to characterize corrosion behavior of materials. • Hands-on experience with advanced methods to characterize microstructure to understand failure mechanisms • Experience in materials science and engineering, especially metallic materials. • Ability to work both independently and possessing interpersonal skills to work effectively with others in the team. • Good problem solving capability with can-do attitude • Good oral and written English language skills • PhD in relevant areas of science and engineering with solid track of publication in referred international journals. • Working experience in industry laboratory is a plus Contact: ming.liu@gm.com |
