| The quality of doctoral training in provincial universities and institutions is mainly reflected by the comprehensive ability, especially the innovative ability of doctoral students. The evaluation of doctoral training quality should be a comprehensive one, i.e., it should be not only just based on the training units and government departments in charge of education, but also based on the performance of the graduates and the feedback from the employers 3 to 5 years after their graduation. The outcome of the comprehensive evaluation should be used as the guideline for the reformation of the training system, strategy formulation for training improvement. Therefore, the key issues for the reformation of training mechanism could be grasped and the quality of postgraduate training would be improved constantly, which makes it possible to provide high level talents for the regionally-based science and technology and economic development. |
