12月10號北京簽證被check DS2019表開始時間是1月2號 已有2人參與

請教大家， DS2019的開始時間是2015年1月2號，現(xiàn)在不清楚簽證什么時候能下來，萬一DS2019表過期了，就得重新改時間。 看有人發(fā)帖說2015年的DS2019表申請需要考托福。我這種情況也得考嗎？太鬧心了~~ 如果我趕在12月底之前讓秘書再發(fā)一個DS2019是不是就不用考托福了？ 更新了時間的DS2019表，seivs碼還是原來的碼嗎？ |

我收到學校的郵件，如下 To ensure a smooth transition through U.S. Customs and Border Patrol and to the Berkeley campus, you are required to notify Berkeley International Office of your arrival date as soon as possible by completing the steps below. In some cases, you may need an amended Form DS-2019 if you are arriving later than initially planned so you will not encounter problems at the U.S. port-of-entry. Step 1: Before Your Arrival in the U.S. Before your DS-2019 start date (but no later than 9 days after the start date on your DS-2019), logon at http://jvs.berkeley.edu/. Complete the information on that site. Please also contact your UC Berkeley host department to inform them of your arrival dates and U.S. residential address (if known). Step 2: After Your Arrival No later than 9 days after your DS-2019 start date, logon to http://jvs.berkeley.edu/ again to inform us of your actual date of arrival in the U.S. and your local, U.S. residential address. This can include a hotel or temporary residence. It cannot include a Post Office (P.O.) Box or Departmental address. The information you provide in the two steps above is required by the U.S. government; it is important that it be completed accurately and as early as possible. 說是不能晚于起始日期后9天到達美國，這個什么意思，DS2019有效期只到1月11號？ |

我詢問了秘書，關(guān)于修正DS2019時間，是否需要ELP的證明，秘書的郵件更讓人鬧心了~ If the amendment DS-2019 is issued before the campus closure, our office does NOT need to see the ELP documentation. However, as I also mentioned in my last email, ELP has always been a requirement for the J-1 program. What has been added to the new J regulations is only the documentation to demonstrate the ELP. Therefore, it is very likely that moving forward, there will be stricter scrutiny regarding the ELP at visa interviews with U.S. embassies/consulates, such as scholars needing to provide documentation of the ELP for their visa interviews when they may have not been required to show our office the ELP documentation for the issuance of the DS-2019. If the scholar has gotten her visa, then it shouldn't be a problem. |
