Abstract: For the joint scheduling problem of network resources and IT resources in optical networks during the cloud computing era, the cloud computing-oriented optical network architecture (CCOONA) and the resource model and task model are built. The joint scheduling scheme of using MC-RJS algorithm based on CCOONA is proposed, and the detail operation process of the scheme is described. Algorithm simulation shows that the scheme not only solves the awareness problem of IT resources in traditional optical networks, but also can complete the joint scheduling task in a low cost and load balanced way. © 2014 IEEE.
