Dr FAN Zheng from school of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Nanyang Technological University is currently recruiting Postdoc research fellows to join his research group to work on an ultrasonic tomography project. The motivation of Dr Fan’s research is to solve inspection and monitoring problems for industries, approached by conducting thorough scientific research. Job description The available postdoc research fellow position is in the field of non-destructive inspection and monitoring of structures using ultrasonic guided waves. Research fellows are expected to take a leading technical role within the project and to contribute to the supervision of PhD students and research associates working in the project. The starting salary of the research fellow is followed by the NTU HR policy depending on the experience, and bonus is depending on actual performance and availability of funding. Requirements • A PhD degree related to acoustics or geophysics. • Extensive knowledge of wave propagation and inversion. • Strong analytical and problem solving skills. • Excellent English writing and communication skills. • Good publication record. • Knowledge in ultrasonic guided wave will be an advantage.
