標題 Synthesis and characterization of monodisperse magnetic composite particles for magnetorheological fluid materials Abstract Monodisperse magnetic composite particles (MCP) were prepared and characterized for a study of magnetic field-responsive fluids. Magnetic composite particles used are iron oxide-coated polymer composite particles, which were synthesized through in situ coating of iron oxide onto pre-existing polymer particles by the reduction of ferrous fluids. For a uniform and bulk coating of iron oxide, the porous structure was introduced into the substrate polymer particles through a two-step seeded polymerization method. Moreover, surface cyano- functionality was born from acrylonitrile unit of substrate polymer and it played an important role in obtaining successful uniform coating. The structure of the composite particle was analyzed by using a thermo gravimetric analysis (TGA) and a X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis. The magnetization property of the particle was also observed. Then, the rheological properties of monodisperse magnetorheological (MR) suspensions of magnetic composite particles were examined under a magnetic field using a parallel-plate type commercial rheometer. From therheologicalmeasurements,itwasfoundthatMRpropertiesofthemagneticcompositesuspensionsaredependentontheironoxidecontent and the fluid composition. |

用于磁流變液材料的單分散磁性復(fù)合材料顆粒的合成和表征 摘要 制備、表征了單分散磁性復(fù)合粒子(MCP), 并用于磁場感應(yīng)液的研究。使用的磁性復(fù)合粒子是氧化鐵涂層的聚合物復(fù)合粒子,通過亞鐵液體在聚合物顆粒經(jīng)原位還原形成氧化鐵涂層。為了得到均勻、大面積的氧化鐵涂層,多孔結(jié)構(gòu)通過兩步種子聚合法引入到基體聚合物顆粒中。此外,表面腈基官能團由基體聚合物的丙烯腈單體導(dǎo)入,對于得到均勻涂層起到重要的作用。利用熱重分析法(TGA)和X射線衍射(XRD)分析了復(fù)合粒子的結(jié)構(gòu)。 觀察到粒子帶有磁化特性。然后,磁性復(fù)合粒子形成的單分散磁流變(MR)懸浮液的流變特征在磁場中用購買的平行板式流變儀測定。通過流變學測量發(fā)現(xiàn)磁性復(fù)合懸浮液磁流變特性取決于氧化鐵的含量和流體組分。 |
