| The ion rejection of the self-supporting zeolite membranes can be explained schematically, as shown in Fig. 7. Theoretically, self-supporting zeolite membranes have a homogeneous and symmetric structure. Based on this hypothesis, we assume that the self-supporting membranes are composed of many zeolite crystalline layers (L1, L2……Ln in the vertical direction, R1, R2…….Rn in the horizontal direction), including non-zeolitic pores. However, the number of non-zeolitic pores is limited, and the distribution of these pores is random either in the vertical and horizontal directions. Theoretically, the effect of non-zeolitic pore defects in the self-supporting zeolite membrane could be eliminated when the thickness of the zeolite membrane approaches a certain size. Therefore, the size exclusion mechanism can be achieved. It has been proposed that, when cations enter the interior of the self-supporting membrane, the large inner pores provide an adsorption interface between the zeolite crystals and the cations, which would prevent the cations from diffusing. The salt rejection experiment demonstrates that the hypotheses are correct and that the desalination mechanisms of self-supporting zeolite membrane are size exclusion, electrostatic repulsion and mesopores adsorption. |

| 自身支持沸石膜的離子排除可用示意圖來解釋，如圖7。理論上，自身支持膜具有均質(zhì)對稱的結(jié)構(gòu)。以此為基礎，我們假設自身支持膜由許多沸石晶體層(L1, L2……Ln為垂直方向， R1, R2…….Rn為水平方向）組成，含有非沸石孔。然而，非沸石孔的數(shù)量是有限的，這些孔的分布是隨機的，或者在垂直方向，或者在水平方向。理論上，在自身支持沸石膜中非沸石孔的不良影響在沸石膜達到一定厚度時可以消除。因此可以實現(xiàn)尺寸排阻的機質(zhì)。一般認為，當陽離子進入自身支持沸石膜內(nèi)部時，內(nèi)部的大孔在沸石晶體和陽離子之間構(gòu)成一個吸附界面，可以避免陽離子擴散。鹽排除實驗表明這種假設是對的，自身支持沸石膜的脫鹽機理就是尺寸排阻、經(jīng)典排斥和間孔吸附。 |
