Postdoc recruitment The University of Macau (www.umac.mo) is the only public university in Macau, SAR China and has a brand new campus with state-of-art design and investment. Also, UM has started to focus on research in both basic and applied fields and is on the fast track of development from an education oriented university to research oriented university. The first batch of scholars is all recruited from world level institutes and universities such as NIH/USA, CUHK/Hong Kong, John Hopkins/USA, Oxford/British, and NUS/Singapore etc. With its world-class faculty members and state-of-the-art facilities, the Faculty strives to advance knowledge in key areas of modern biomedical and health sciences through cutting-the-edge research, which nurtures essential workforce of high quality for both Macau and the region to face the health-related challenges from the rapidly changing world. Dr. RH-Wang, Associate Professor of FHS, mainly focus on the research of dissecting the relationship among aging, cancer and metabolism. Cellular and molecular approaches are applied to genetically modified murine models. As to her excellent work, she has published several articles on Journal of Nature, Cell. (https://fhs.umac.mo/staff/academ ... E7%91%9E%E8%99%B9/) The candidate should have experiences in molecular and cellular biology background. Further experience in aging and metabolic disease will be considered at a higher priority. Also, the candidate should have great interest and passion in research work, and be self-motivated, collaborative. The salary of this position will be about 20000 MOP permonth depending on the experiences. Also, the living cost in Macau is relatively low without income tax, comparing to most of the industrial countries including USA, UK etc. Informal enquiries can be directed to Dr. RH-Wang (rhwang@umac.mo).
