PhD Scholarship at Leeds: Multi-Robot Manipulation 已有10人參與

https://www.engineering.leeds.ac.uk/faculty/postgraduate/research-degrees/scholarships/multi-robot-manipulation-planning-manufacturing-operations.shtml Multi-Robot Manipulation Planning for Manufacturing Operations School of Computing School of Computing This proposal addresses robotic manipulation planning for manufacturing tasks. We will build algorithms to plan operations that require forceful collaboration between a team of robots; e.g. a drilling operation, where some robots grasp and hold a workpiece stable, while another applies force with a driller. The planner will decide on the robot actions and the grasping locations on the workpiece to perform such operations. We will build a robotic system, which starts from a set of parts (e.g. planks of wood), and plans an action sequence (e.g. cutting, then drilling, then fastening) to build a product (e.g. a wooden chair). Value: This studentship, which is open to UK, EU and international students, will cover academic fees and a maintenance grant matching the Research Council UK rate (£14,057 for session 2015/16). Number of awards: 1 Entry requirements: Applicants must have a minimum of a UK upper second class honours degree (2.1), or equivalent, in computer science, mechanical engineering, electronic and electrical engineering, mathematics, robotics or another closely related discipline. If English is not the applicant’s first language, they must provide evidence that they meet the University’s minimum English Language requirements.
