Positions in SPECT/PET/CT imaging physics The University of Macau is a leading higher education institution in Macao, with English as its working language. With the beautiful new campus (20 times larger than the old one) becoming fully operational, the launch of Asia’s largest residential college system, the establishment of new faculties, and the increasing numbers of students and faculty members recruited from around the world, UM possesses great potential and provides exciting new possibilities for growth and development. Posts specification: Various positions are now available in the Biomedical Imaging Laboratory (BIG, https://www.fst.umac.mo/en/lab/big/website/index.html), Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Faculty of Science and Technology, University of Macau. Current research projects include (i) multi-pinhole collimator design/implementation for clinical/preclinical SPECT; (ii) respiratory artifact reduction for SPECT/PET/CT; (iii) internal dosimetry for targeted radionuclide therapy (TRT). 1. Postdoc fellow Ph. D. in engineering or physics/medical physics related discipline. Good English communication and writing skill is required. Strong programming skill in Matlab/C/C++ is necessary. Prior research experience in medical imaging is preferred. 2. Research assistant MSc/Mphil in engineering or physics/medical physics related discipline. Good English communication, writing and management skill is required. Programming skill in Matlab/C/C++ and prior research experience in medical imaging is preferred. Former experience in operating clinical/preclinical SPECT/CT or PET/CT scanners is a plus. 3. PhD student MSc/BSc. in engineering or physics/medical physics related discipline. Good English communication and writing skill is required. Programming experience in Matlab/C/C++ is necessary. Prior research experience in medical imaging is a plus. Remuneration The postdoc fellow and research assistant positions are full-time fixed term appointment with the possibility of renewal subject to successful funding. The minimum contract term is 6 months. Level of appointment will be commensurate with qualifications, experience and academic achievements. The remuneration package will be in the range of: Postdoc: $MOP 26,730 - $46,170/month Research assistant: $MOP 9,720 - $21,870/month PhD students are recruited for academic year 2016/2017, with monthly research assistant ships of $MOP12,500-14,000 (tax-free). The current local maximum income tax rate is 12% but is effectively around 5% - 7% after various discretionary exemptions.
