Master and PhD graduate and postdoc research associate positions are available immediately in the research group led by Prof. Dr. –Ing. Kai Strunz (https://www.sense.tu-berlin.de/menue/start/) in the Department of Energy and Automation Technology at the Technische Universität BerliProf. Strunz is recipient of IEEE PES Prize Paper Award 2015 and many other international award. Prof. Strunz is chairman of the IEEE PES Subcommittee on Distributed Generation & Energy Storage. Professor strunz’s group focuses on efficient and accurate modeling of integrated energy supply, solution for global network and electricity markets, innovative methods of simulation and optimization for the planning and operation of integrative energy systems, as well as HVDC transmission. Research can be implemented and tested in Smart Grid lab. Current research interests include, but are not limited to, 1) Supergrid in Europe; 2) AC/DC integrated network; 3) Power system transient efficient simulation; 4) wind power energy and Photovoltaics; 5) multiterminal DC Grid Creative and highly motivated applicants are encouraged to apply. A master degree in the fields related to Electrical Engineering is required. A background in power system, power electronic or renewable energy sources would be an advantage. German is preferred but not necessary, because group meeting is normally carried out with English.
