| The manuscript contains little new information that is not already available in the literature. The target application is new but there are 10 papers (Scopus search) that describe a similar set of experiments for the isolation of active ingredients from plant materials using ionic liquids and microwaves as a heating source. Thus, the current manuscript lacks the novelty required for publication in the Journal of Chromatography. The manuscript is well-written and the application should be of interest to a phytoanalytical journal since ionic liquids are considered novel solvents with respect to their use in practical applications. |

The manuscript is well-written and the application should be of interest to a phytoanalytical journal since ionic liquids are considered novel solvents with respect to their use in practical applications.” And I have also read the 10 papers as you describe using ionic liquids and microwaves as a heating source for the isolation of active ingredients from plant materials. Admittedly, we exploit the same method apparently. However, The mechanisms applied are different. Their extraction methods as you mention use ionic liquid as microwave absorbing medium. On the contrary, we use ionic liquid as 。。。。. It is well known that the ionic liquid 1-N-butyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride can dissolve a great quantity of cellulose. Therefore, we exploit this property and use [C4mim)Cl 。。。。. Several solvents were used to extract active ingredients from plant materials when cellulose was dissolved in the 。。。.
