Depending upon the nature of the active component, two different types of supported catalyst may be distinguished. When the active component is very expensive (as with precious metals), the objective is a maximum active surface area per unit weight of the active component. With less costly active components, such as base metals or base metal oxides or sulfides, a maximum active surface area per unit volume is most attractive. The reason for this is that a high active surface area causes a relatively small catalytic reactor volume to be sufficient to achieve a technically satisfactory conversion. When the costs of the reactor dominate, a high loading of the support maximizing the active surface area per unit volume will therefore be most favorable. When, on the other hand, the costs of the active component are most important, the maximum active surface area per unit weight of active component is desired. 這段話可以從兩個(gè)方面來(lái)理解： 1. 反應(yīng)器的成本若占總成本比較高時(shí)，此時(shí)就要從催化劑的設(shè)計(jì)上來(lái)考慮。比方說(shuō)，可以有不參與反應(yīng)的bulk催化劑，但是反應(yīng)的空速與轉(zhuǎn)化率必須要保證，我簡(jiǎn)單的理解成是，至少是大于單層負(fù)載的負(fù)載量。若催化劑在其表面有聚集，也充分利用bulk 催化劑本身帶來(lái)的surface area 與pore。 2. 若催化劑的成本占總成本高時(shí)，此時(shí)就要從催化劑的設(shè)計(jì)上考慮，其意圖無(wú)非是想讓所有的催化劑都能參與反應(yīng)，未必做到單層負(fù)載的水平，不參與反應(yīng)的bulk催化劑應(yīng)該盡量避免，降低催化劑成本。 我這樣的理解，不知道是否正確，希望有所幫助。 |
