| One important aspect of the research problem was its universal appeal to other school institutions as the discussed processes exist in any K-12 school institution. A number of elements existing in this research, such as (a) formal data acquisition process, (b) formal IT strategy, or (c) administrative element of providing supplementary business services, can be applied in any public school. More specifically, there was reason to expect that proper data acquisition strategy, formal information management, established information retention policy, or level of technology integration would be systematically associated, at the lowest organic level, with the level of management integration between purely academic and purely administrative elements of managing a public school system. This chapter will discuss the chosen research methodology as it will be applied during a system modeling for a new ISMS initiative. That approach will be used to investigate the connection between the concept of data-centric business processes and operations, and the reality of providing administrative services in a charter school system. |
