4. Challenge/Requirement to understand all constrains of the study. Time, space, and complexity of the process might eventually create a situation where the research can no longer continue. Changing a process that was a subject of the study may no longer be in the same form as previously defined and therefore must be modified or terminated. Different authors might give such challenges a different label but the main point of view is that qualitative research methodology has its own research challenges that are identified in this research as well. Singleton and Straits (1999) use an example of theory building and its relationship with qualitative research challenges. The confirmation of a particular prediction, however, is not enough to confirm a theory, because it is possible to have several theories that explain a given empirical regularity and that make the same or similar predications. This is true of the social facilitation effect, for which no established theoretical explanation exists, even though several theories have been proposed. (p. 23). This investigative case study focused on developing and building data-centric enterprise as a management tactic to create a fully organized information lifecycle management strategy for data communication and data integration. The purpose of this study was to explore and evaluate existing management practices as they relate to information sharing management strategy. It also investigated how a formal Information integration strategy could benefit administrative services of charter school system. |
