The work concerns the design of a "steel with an impossible combination of properties", where the alloy must have a strength in excess of 2000 MPa, resistance to sudden distributed-loads, a specified level of toughness and must be weldable so that the material can be implemented in large structures. Candidates should have a PhD and be able to demonstrate a deep understanding of solid-state phase transformations in steels, some knowledge of mathematical modelling techniques and computer literacy, together with familiarity with standard charcterisation techniques including transmission electron microscopy. Candidates are expected to take significant responsibility for the research, to work within the environment of a large research group and to communicate with and manage relationships with research partners. 剛剛coffee time時(shí)，老板又更新了申請(qǐng)的人數(shù)，變成80人了。僅僅2個(gè)職位。競(jìng)爭(zhēng)何其激烈。不過(guò)申請(qǐng)者可能也是多處機(jī)會(huì)，廣撒網(wǎng)。 雖然沒(méi)有博后申請(qǐng)的經(jīng)歷和經(jīng)驗(yàn)，感覺(jué)通過(guò)熟人或老板的關(guān)系，比盲目的發(fā)Email，效果更佳。很多想找博后的boss，一般也喜歡熟人推薦的，知根知底，放心。 純粹是猜測(cè)。 [ Last edited by djzh on 2012-11-5 at 20:09 ] |
