Responsibilities: Lead Engineering team in the evaluation of lithium-ion battery packs for EV application Define scope of technical center testing capabilities and enhance by establishing relations with local contract vendors and University partners Develop and implement test plansand detail procedures for evaluating battery systems and validating those systems for commercial mass production Collaborate with Design team, Sales and Product Marketing to understand customer and industry requirements for EV battery packs Support development of battery product specifications validated by test reports Develop test specifications, standard operating procedures and documentation to support mass production of battery packs Participate as a key member of a cross-functional product test and development team, offering proposals for product improvements based on testing results Develop new design validation test methods Analyze test data and present written test reports to entire organization Qualifications: B.S. in Science or Engineering 5-10+ years hands-on experience withTest Engineering >5 years experience testing battery products, high voltage equipment, or automotive engineering process from concept and design through to release to manufacturing; current and potential customers in order to translate needs and define product requirements as they relate to EV, large format,team deliverables; Directing the engineering related activities of multiple departments in meeting timelines and deliverables of the EV, large format division; Resource profiling and resource allocation are essential to this objective; Overall responsibility for determining the most effective means to provide large format product to customers; This may involve direct build and manufacturing of modules and packs or partnering with outside providers; Ensures overall technical competence of the large format division and product design compliance, in alignment with predefined specifications; Responsible for the EV, large format engineering hiring, turnover and personnel development in order to reach defined milestones; Leading daily engineering and tactical plans of this group in meeting customer demand; Directly and/or through others performs complex analytical work ensuring office engineering and field engineering support for multiple large format product lines;
