不知道主編的態(tài)度怎么樣?我準備修改后,再投,不知道希望有多大 Your manuscript # APP-2014-08-2861 entitled "Property reinforcement of ABS by simultaneous incorporation of copper particles and multiwalled carbon nanotubes" which you submitted to the Journal of Applied Polymer Science, has been reviewed. While the referees find your work of some potential interest, they have raised concerns that are sufficiently important that they preclude publication of the work in the Journal of Applied Polymer Science, at least in its present form. The details of the errors it contains is listed below, 1. The title of the manuscripts does not reflect the contents of the manuscripts in a proper manner, in addition it is not suitable to use the short form like ABS instead of using its full as acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene, in the title. 2. In the first sentence of the abstract the word ‘detailedly’ has been used, this word does not have any proper meaning. 3. The sentence mentioned in Introduction, ‘Multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) are considered as a versatile conductive filler in the polymer composite industry compared with Cu due to its large aspect ratio, good intrinsic electrical conductivity and excellent chemical properties’ need citation of suitable reference or references. 4. It is stated that, ‘CuCl nanorods are successfully prepared because of the presence of nonionic surfactant polypropylene glycol (PPG-400), which have length up to about 100 nm with diameters ranging from 20 to 50 nm’ practically any rod shaped particles are visible in both TEM and SEM images. 5. The word Cu powder has been used many times, while Cu particle is a suitable word instead of Cu powders. Overall, the representation or English of the manuscript is poor, so the manuscript requires rewriting in a proper way. Reviewer: 2 The authors report the synergistic effect of Cu and MWCNTs in decreasing the electrical resistivity of the Cu/MWCNT/ABS. The results are interesting; however, some details should be clarified: 1. MWNTs tend to agglomerated. In the experimental part, the authors should specify how to prepare the Cu/MWNT/ABS and MWNT/ABS composites. 2. Page 9, from Fig.5, we cannot see the nanotubes homogeneously dispersed in the matrix without agglomerates. The authors should offer further SEM or TEM micrographs to support this conclusion. 3. There is no scale or legend in Figure2. The figure caption for figure2 is ambiguous. We don’t known which is TEM or FESEM. 4. Figure8 is ambiguous. The authors can use different colour line for different samples. 5. There are some spelling or grammar mistakes in the text. For example, resistivity (line 17, page 9), reference (line 1, page 12). In table 1, it should be TGA, not TG. |
